The auspicious Parama Ekaadasi is the ekaadasi that is observed in the krishna paksha of the adhika maasa (lunar leap month) that comes once in 2 to 3 years' interval.
Schedule for observance of Parama Ekaadasi for different places in the globe:
a) Those living in USA, Canada, and other nations of North and South American continents, those living in countries of African continent and all countries of Europe must observe this on August 11, 2023.
b) Those living in South-West Asian/ Middle-East countries (countries in and near Persian Gulf like UAE, Qatar, Yemen, Saudi Arabia, Muscat, etc) and observing Smartha traditions must observe this on August 11, 2023.
c) Those living in countries mentioned above (in point b above), and observing Vaishnava traditions must observe this on August 12, 2023.
d) Those living in rest of the world - including those living in India - must observe this on August 12, 2023.
Significance of Parama Ekaadasi:
Observance of this Parama Ekaadasi helps in ensuring peace to deceased ancestors in the family, freedom from cycle of birth/ death and reaching Vaikunta (Divine Abode), and for neutralizing karmic energies that prevent one's prosperity in this life.
