The auspicious Mesha Sankranthi (Tamil New year) happens on April 13, 2009 for those in USA, Canada, and other countries of American continents, and on April 14, 2009 for rest of the world.
This is an auspicious day for offering oblations to pitrus (respects to ancestors with tarpan), offering special worships, etc.
May Sun's entry into sidereal Aries bring new hopes and auspiciousness to everyone. As usual, special prayers will be done for the welfare of our paaraayanam group members tommorrow also.
