Tiruvannaamalai Deepam falls on December 11, 2008, and Pancharaatra Deepam is to be celebrated on December 12, 2008 (by those who follow Pancharaatra aagama principles for festivals).
Lighting deepam praying for wisdom in our life, good fortune and prosperity in the family, and peace of souls is auspicious on this occasion. Lord Muruga (also called Kartikeya, Skanda, etc.) is to be venerated on this day.
May the Light of Wisdom dawn on all of us by Divine Grace.
